Spring break isn't just for beaches, and if you're a skier or snowboarder you know that some of the best skiing of the year happens in March or April. If you're planning a ski trip for spring break, these five resorts will not disappoint! We'll cover mountain conditions, restaurant spots, and the best aprés ski spots the mountains have to offer.

Here's our top 5 picks (In no specific order)

1.) Breckenridge, Colorado

Every time we've skied Breck, it hasn't disappointed. Breckenridge has a lively ski town to support the world class skiing it offers. You'll see people from all over coming to experience the magic of Breckenridge. The mountain itself has runs for all types of skiers and skill levels. For the more experienced skiers, the back bowls of Breckenridge are the perfect place to test your limits and skill. If you prefer to take it easy on the green and blue runs, there are plenty of places to have a chill, easy day.

Nestled in the Rockies, it is more than just a ski destination—it’s a lively, historic town with a buzzing après-ski scene, top-tier restaurants, and legendary nightlife. Start your day with a hearty breakfast at one of our favorite spots, Daylight Donuts before hitting the slopes. After a day of skiing, head to T-Bar at Peak 8 for ski-in, ski-out drinks or grab a craft beer at Breckenridge Brewery. For dinner, Hearthstone serves up cozy mountain vibes with gourmet dishes, while Empire Burger is a must for casual eats and full bellies. When it’s time to party, check out Gold Pan Saloon, one of the oldest bars in Colorado, or dance the night away at Cecilia's. (Fair warning, Cecilia's is not somewhere to bring the family) Whether you’re here for the powder or the party, Breck has something for everyone!

Park City, Utah

Home to the largest ski resort in the U.S., Park City Mountain offers over 7,300 acres of terrain, catering to everyone from beginners to expert powder hounds. With its high-speed lifts, long blue runs, and legendary backcountry access, it’s a Spring Break skier’s dream.

Just next door, Deer Valley Resort provides a luxury ski experience with perfectly groomed runs and top-tier service. But the fun doesn’t stop on the slopes—Park City’s historic Main Street is packed with bars, restaurants, and après-ski hotspots. Grab a drink at No Name Saloon, sip local whiskey at High West Distillery, or catch live music at The Spur Bar & Grill. Whether you're chasing powder or patio drinks, Park City has the perfect mix of adventure and nightlife.

Whistler Blackcomb, Canada

Whistler Blackcomb is North America's largest ski resort, offering an unbeatable mix of world-class terrain, stunning scenery, and an electric village atmosphere. With over 8,000 acres of skiable terrain, there’s something for every skill level, from wide-open groomers to steep alpine chutes for the more daring. Although it is over the Canadian border, the trip is worth it to see the spectacular mountains and world class snow.

Spring skiing at Whistler is legendary, thanks to the World Ski & Snowboard Festival in April. This event brings live music, ski and snowboard competitions, and non-stop parties. Off the slopes, the village is packed with great après-ski spots like Garibaldi Lift Co., Longhorn Saloon, and Dusty’s Bar & BBQ, where you can enjoy drinks, music, and maybe even meet some new ski friends.

Aspen Snowmass, Colorado

Aspen is where luxury meets adventure, making it a top choice for Spring Breakers who want both high-end skiing and a vibrant social scene. The resort spans four mountains—Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands, Buttermilk, and Snowmass—offering diverse terrain for all abilities. Although it offers great skiing and a lovely ski town, it is on the more expensive side as Aspen has quite the reputation.

Springtime in Aspen is about more than just skiing. The après-ski scene is world-famous, with spots like Cloud Nine Alpine Bistro, where skiers celebrate with champagne showers, and Ajax Tavern, known for its lively patio. In the evenings, the town comes alive with high-end dining and live music at Belly Up Aspen, a venue that attracts major artists and DJs. (If you're in a dancing mood of course)

If you want to dance the night away, or have a quiet night in the condo, Aspen can provide relaxation or a night to remember. (Or forget)

 Mammoth Mountain, California

Mammoth Mountain is a prime Spring Break destination because of its long ski season—often stretching into June. With high-altitude terrain and plenty of sunshine, Mammoth delivers some of the best spring skiing conditions in North America.

April is especially fun at Mammoth, thanks to Spring Fest, a series of events featuring pond skimming, costume days, and live music. It is one of the most fun resorts during the spring. The après scene is relaxed yet lively, with classic spots like The Yodler for German beer and bratwurst, Lakanuki Tiki Bar for a tropical après-ski experience, and Mammoth Brewing Co. for locally crafted beers. (How wrong can you go?)

Mammoth is a great destination for families or trips with friends offering a variety of ways to be entertained from you first day, to your trip back home.

Overall, it's hard to go wrong with a spring skiing trip, with so many resorts offering world class skiing and lively towns with great food, shopping, and memories. Who knows, maybe you'll be skiing in a T-shirt with snow that feels like pillows.
