Spring Breakers, Let’s talk Beaver Creek

It’s spring break time! Such a fun time to visit the slopes with high likelihood of bluebird days and great conditions. Here are some of the things we love to do with the whole family when we visit Beaver Creek resort.

Hit the slopes! Great for all ages and skill levels

If you have little ones still building their ski confidence, the Haymeadow lift is a great spot for younger kids. It’s a gondola, so they have the fun experience of getting to ride one up while the lift feeds right into short, green slopes and Buckaroo Bowl with some fun whoop-dee-doos. The slopes are steep enough to have fun and challenge the young skiers beyond the bunny hill, without being too long or intimidating.

Beaver Creek Learning Area

A great place for beginners, or for people who want to shake the rust off.

Beaver Creek features lots of beginner terrain that’s not only fun, but also located at the top of the mountain.— Denver Gazette

Red Buffalo Park has ample green runs that have secret tree run entries and other features that make it engaging for all ages. We ran this area with our adult kids who ski quite frequently and even they had a really fun time.

Make memories at fun downtown features

Downtown Beaver Creek is great for families because it’s not too big, everything is close together, and yet there’s still plenty to do to keep everyone happy and entertained. Visit the ice rink and bring your own skates, or rent right there in town. We also loved listening to our echos in the fun snowglobe art; at night it had an especially fun ambiance.

Catch the shuttle with your whole crew

We were really impressed by the shuttle system at Beaver Creek, and it made it so easy to get around with the whole family. Simply download the Village Connect app, plug in your pickup and drop-off destination, and it’s easy to pile the kids in and head to the base, to dinner, or even to a friend’s condo if you have other families you’re vacationing with. We never had to wait more than 10 minutes, which we know can be a saving grace with impatient little ones.

Budget-friendly dining

There are plenty of restaurants to enjoy after a long day of skiing, but we know that some of these places can get a little pricey. One of the restaurants that we enjoyed was the Coyote Cafe. In our experience, we had quick service, great food, and the bill didn't raise any eyebrows. However, if you are willing to spend a little more cash, the Golden Eagle Inn has great steaks, fish dishes, salads, and everything in between. The perfect location for a special night out.

Beaver Creek is a great vacation for spring breakers, or anyone looking for a getaway. The skiing is top tier, the town is vibrant and the shops and restaurants are abundant. If the mountains are calling to you, Beaver Creek is your one-stop-shop for a memorable trip.
